PROJECT DESCRIPTION: 50MW Hydroelectric power plant along the Yaguala River in Honduras. Major features are a 93.5m high RCC arch-gravity dam and a 4.5km headrace tunnel.
GEOLOGICAL SETTING: Metamorphic basement of the Cacaguaoa Group constituted by phyllites and quarzites intruded by gabbros and diorite dykes.
